The inaugural Conference of Club 2000 Mission International in South Sudan was held on the 19th and 20th of July 2024 in Juba, at the Mountain of God Church Jebel South Sudan. Pastor Matthew Rabbi hosted Dr Austin Adesola and Billy Adesola these two days with teachings, ministrations, and prayers centered around the theme.
On the first day of the conference, Dr Austin Adesola spoke to the attendees about the significance of South Sudan as an African nation and its place in the missional activities of the African continent. He emphasized that the Sudanese people are an ancient race, referenced in scriptures as the Cushites, and hinted at their opportunities as a relatively new nation to be a beacon of the light of the gospel to their surrounding nations.
“It is rare for a nation with such a potent and significant Arabic cultural immersion to be decidedly neutral in religious polarization, especially within the political landscape”, he noted.
As such, he remarked on how blessed they are to be a country with a strong Christian representation within its leadership.
“South Sudan will be used by God to take the gospel to other Arabic nations,” He said. After his teaching, he led the congregation in several prayers for the nation of South Sudan.
On the second day, Billy Adesola’s focus was on the vision, mission, and activities of Club 2000 Mission International. There were Pastors, Ministers, and Governmental Leaders in attendance and they were encouraged by the balanced approach of the organization in its commitment to both spiritual and humanitarian needs. There was a follow-up meeting a few days after which gave some of these people the opportunity to ask questions about the operation and structure of our activities.
The conference ended with a session of worship and ministration by both ministers. God moved in the lives of the people in healing, deliverance, and revelations. The curtains were drawn with a promise to return to South Sudan in 2025 to resume mission activities with a food outreach program.
