Club 2000 Mission International Visits Achievers School of Nursing Sciences, Akure
Club 2000 Mission International had the privilege of visiting the Achievers School of Nursing Sciences in Akure, Ondo State.
During the visit, the team hosted a two-day seminar and Thanksgiving service, where they shared important insights about missions and delivered teachings grounded in Scripture.
The seminar, titled “Missions: Feeling Christ’s Pulse,” addressed several key issues related to missionary work. Featured speakers included Rev. Billy Adesola and Pastor Femi Famutimi.
In Rev. Billy’s session, he spoke on the importance of missions and explored why many Christians are reluctant to engage in them. Drawing examples from the four Gospels, he highlighted various moments where Jesus expressed clear missional intent. Rev. Billy emphasized that Scripture consistently affirms the believer’s responsibility to spread the Gospel across the world. He also addressed some of the challenges facing missions in Nigeria today, identifying denominationalism as a major obstacle both at home and abroad.
Pastor Femi Famutimi’s session focused on the significance of a missionary call. He began by defining what a missionary call is and outlined the necessary criteria for such a calling. He stressed the role of the local church in helping individuals discern their call and underscored the importance of an open heart and a willingness to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. He also made a distinction between a calling and what he described as divine guidance.
Following the messages, there were powerful ministrations, and the presence of God moved mightily among the assembly. The Club 2000 Mission team also took time to introduce the organization—sharing its history, mission, foundational pillars, and how people can get involved.
An FAQ session was held, and interested students were given information on how to join the Club 2000 training program.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Club 2000 team returned to the school for a special mission service. Rev. Billy delivered another message, this time on “Steps to Righteousness”—teaching on how believers can pursue spiritual maturity and holiness.
It was an insightful and impactful weekend, and it was evident that the students in attendance were deeply enriched by the experience.
The Club 2000 Mission team expressed their desire to return to Akure in the near future, with hopes of doing even more work in the school and in other institutions across Akure and Ondo State.
