The Club 2000 Mission International team were in Nairobi, Kenya, for a mission conference titled ‘Standing With The Vision.’
The event took place on Saturday, the 8th of November 2025 at the Bible Translation & Literacy (BTL) Christian International Conference Center in Ruiru, Nairobi. The event was a means for the Club 2000 team to share the vision with the people of Nairobi and explain in detail what Club 2000 seeks to do in Kenya and the wider world.
The event began a little after 8:00am with a prayer which was led by Club 2000 representative in Nairobi, Reverend Betty Mwangi Kiroto. Then there was a worship session before Dr. Austin Adesola, founder of Club 2000, stepped on the stage to deliver his address on the theme.
Dr. Austin Adesola spoke on the importance of personal vision and how this is able to find expression within a corporate vision. He explained that vision is a concept that is integral to Christianity and is the only way for a person to fulfill what God has in store for them. He explained that vision is able to keep people on course, and through it, people can carry out exploits. He also talked about his experiences in Kenya 14 years ago when he came for a Club 2000 Conference. He explained that the trip had ended with some success, but also with some significant roadblocks, particularly the inability of the organization to find a suitable representative for the area due to disputes most of which stemmed from instances of discrimination and tribalism. Dr. Adesola stressed the importance of putting aside tribal pride in a bid to do the work of the Kingdom.
After Dr. Adeola’s session, Reverend Billy Adesola, Director of Operations, took over to explain the vision and mission of Club 2000 International. He started with a brief history of the organization, explaining that it took off in 1987 in Akure, Ondo state. He then went on to talk about the mission of the organization and continued with a detailed breakdown of the activities of the organization. Reverend Billy emphasized the role of young professionals over clerics in the work. He clarified that this was not segregation, but rather the removal of some biases of exclusivity that can sometimes creep into even the most well-intentioned people. So, the activities of Club 2000 is open to all Christians and there is a real need for professionals from various fields to bring their experiences to bear.
Reverend Billy concluded his session with a live demonstration of the registration process on the Club 2000 website.
There were a few questions including Club 2000’s plans to expand to other regions in Kenya including more rural and remote areas. The team answered that we are willing to expand but will take things step-by-step.
All in all, it was a successful program and the team left the venue with a determination to return and encouragement for the next conference which will take place in Mombasa.
